This cold-looking cat is called "Charlie" and is a stray cat adopted by Renee, the shit-sweeper, a few years ago. Its life is particularly "storytelling", not because it lived a hard wandering life, but because some of the things it did at Renee's house were really interesting.

Charlie was brought home by Renee when he was about two months old. He had not experienced much wandering life. Apart from always being taken everywhere by his mother cat to hide, his life as a cat was "smooth sailing".

This also created Charlie's positive and cheerful personality. Not long after he came to Renee's house, he had a very good relationship with the family. Even though it always looks aloof, that's just its appearance. It is very good at making friends, and even its neighbors have very good comments about it.

Because Charlie was so popular, Renee did not keep him indoors, but let him go out to play. After all, Charlie would be very lonely if he stayed at home alone.
One day, when Renee got up and went downstairs, she found Charlie squatting at the top of the stairs again, with a pile of toys next to him, which she gave to Charlie.

Renee was really a little impatient this time. It turned out that Charlie had been squatting on the stairs for several days, and his beloved toys almost tripped Renee once. And Charlie would bring a toy and put it at the stairs every day, and gradually a pile of toys formed.

An angry Renee sealed away all of Charlie's toys because she was worried that Charlie would continue to bring toys. That way, Charlie wouldn't have to fetch toys anymore, or at least that's what Renee thought at the time. The next morning, Charlie was still squatting at the top of the stairs, but there was no toy next to him, but there was a head rope. Renee was not angry this time. She thought that Charlie had used the headband to play with, and she had sealed Charlie's toys, so she didn't care.

But Charlie was not happy. Seeing that Renee was indifferent to the headband he brought, he put the headband in his mouth on the sofa, and then quietly waited for Renee's response.
This made Renee a little confused. She actually noticed something was wrong with Charlie, but she couldn't tell what was wrong. So at Charlie's suggestion, Renee played with the headband for a while and then gave it back to Charlie.

Charlie rubbed Renee's arm affectionately. It was really happy because its purpose was achieved. So when Renee looked at the two hair ropes on the stairs the next morning, she was a little dazed.
"Is it a gift from Charlie? He also gave me those toys in the past?" With this question, Renee held the two headbands in her hands and praised Charlie.

At this moment, Charlie seemed to have received the most valuable compliment among cats. He began to deliver things to Renee every morning, including twine, tape, Coke straws, and one day he even brought a pair of shoes.
Renee put everything Charlie had given her into the big box, and she was both relieved and surprised. It turns out that the things Charlie gave to Renee did not come from home. They should have been brought back from outside.

Charlie didn't think so much. He still insisted on "giving gifts" to Renee, but later he didn't give different gifts every day, but only changed them every few days. Could it be that it has taken everything it can get around? Hahahaha~

It wasn't until Charlie brought back a small handbag that Renee knew where these things came from.
Renee returned the small handbag to the neighbor and apologized to the neighbor. However, when she explained the reason to her neighbor, not only did she not receive a cold look from her neighbor, but she also praised Charlie's behavior vigorously.

Unexpectedly, a large part of the things Charlie gave to Renee turned out to be from neighbors, but they were not valuable, so they were not noticed by the neighbors. It is quite clever. It knows that stealing things from your own house and giving them to Renee will have no effect, but it knows how to take the things from your neighbor's house. It is really a "smart" cat!
So, it’s not that cats don’t all know how to be grateful, but when they are grateful, they may make the scavenger dumbfounded, or even unable to refuse.
