This is not the first time Klopp has served as a TV football commentator. From 2005 to 2008, he analyzed the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 European Cup on German TV 2. Two years later, he switched to RTL television as a pundit during the World Cup in South Africa. But since then, Klopp has only been doing coaching work.
But now he will return to TV screens as an expert. The Red Bull Group's global head of football has reached an agreement with Deutsche Telekom to cooperate in covering the 2026 World Cup, when he will appear on the MagentaTV platform.
