Today is the 55th birthday of Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar. Manchester United’s official Instagram posted a message to celebrate his birthday.
Van der Sar was born on October 29, 1970 in Fourhout, the Netherlands. He joined Manchester United from Fulham in 2005 for a fee of 4 million euros and played for the team until his retirement in 2011. During his career, he played 266 times for the Red Devils, kept 135 clean sheets, and won 1 Champions League, 4 Premier Leagues, 1 Club World Cup, 3 Community Clubs, and 2 League Cups.
