For many years, the income of football players has attracted much attention. Top players' salaries seem to keep increasing every year, so which England players will be earning the most in 2025?

The British media Essential has compiled statistics and inventory of the 10 highest-paid English football players in the world. Not all of them play in the Premier League, but some come from La Liga, the Bundesliga and the Saudi Professional League.

10. Reece James

As one of Chelsea's key players, Reece James is an excellent product cultivated by Chelsea's youth academy. His weekly salary at Chelsea is £250,000. Given his performance this season, it's certainly money well spent.

9. Sancho

Sancho is a highly controversial figure in the football world. Some people believe that he is a misunderstood technical master, while others believe that he is an overrated loser who cannot perform to the level he deserves in the Premier League. Whatever your opinion of the player, he remains one of the highest-paid English players, earning £250,000 a week.

8. Stones

Stones' career has been magnificent. In his twenties, he was unfairly blamed for some on-field errors, but he quickly developed into one of the best defenders in the world. Today, he is one of Manchester City's most important players and his £250,000-a-week salary reflects that.

7. Mount

Mount's move from Chelsea to Manchester United did not go smoothly, and this is even more obvious when his huge salary is taken into account. Mount currently earns £250,000 a week at Old Trafford.

6. Arnold

After Arnold joined Real Madrid from Liverpool on a free transfer, he was widely criticized. Liverpool fans were angry that he left his parent club for a bigger salary package, but at the end of the day, football is a business. Alexander-Arnold's performance in Madrid has so far been disappointing. In contrast, his weekly salary is as high as 277,766 pounds.

5. Grealish

Grealish is currently on loan to Everton, but his weekly salary of £300,000 at Manchester City is still valid. It is unclear how much Everton will be required to pay during his loan spell. In addition, Grealish's transfer fee in 2021 is as high as 100 million pounds, making him one of the most expensive football players in history.

4. Sterling

Since moving to Chelsea, Sterling's career has fallen into a trough. A loan move to Arsenal last season failed to improve his situation, but the former Liverpool star still earns a high salary of £325,000 a week.

3. Bellingham

Bellingham is England's current golden boy, so it's no surprise that he appears on this list. Bellingham currently earns £345,369 a week at Real Madrid, although this has not always been reflected in his performances.

2. Harry Kane

Kane has been the focus of transfer rumors for many years until joining Bayern in 2023. As expected, Bayern will have to offer a huge salary to poach the England superstar from Tottenham, with his weekly salary being £414,509.

1. Ivan Toney

It is no surprise that the highest-paid English football player in the world plays in the Saudi Professional League. Ivan Toney may not be the most talented player on this list, but his astronomical salary of £422,965 per week is eye-popping. Several Premier League clubs have been interested in him recently, but how many can match such a high salary?
