
According to official news from the Portuguese Football Association, goalkeeper José Sain was granted leave to miss the game against Ireland due to the death of a relative. His position will be replaced by Joao Carvalho.
In the last training session of the Portuguese national team before the away game against Ireland, all 24 players participated in the training. Vitinha took part in a full training session on Wednesday after taking part in limited training on Tuesday. The national team trained at Football City and will travel to Dublin at a later date.
José Sa was granted leave after training due to the death of his grandfather and will not travel with the team to Ireland. His position was replaced by U21 international Joao Carvalho, who also participated in this morning's training session. José Sa will return to the team in Porto on Friday.
