The award ceremony is intended to recognize individuals in the urban area of Liverpool who have practiced the club’s values by helping others and improving the lives of the community. The gala was once again hosted by Peter McDowell of Liverpool's official TV station, and was presented by former Reds stars Ian Rush and Jason McCartill, as well as senior Liverpool Foundation leadership team members, trusted board members and local singer/songwriter Keo and others.
The Honorary Ambassador of Liverpool Foundation Klopp also sent a message to the attendees: "I am very proud to be an ambassador to this outstanding charity. Please continue this incredible work, you are role models, and you have made this club and the Liverpool Foundation so special." Everyone present made a significant contribution to their community throughout the season in all the foundation's projects supporting health, learning and employability.
Liverpool Youth Training Certificate Joe Upton is a Community Influence Award winner who demonstrated outstanding leadership in the Premier League Inspiration Academy Challenge.
