Manchester United forward Sheshko was injured against Tottenham. This incident almost triggered a dispute between the club and the national team.

Slovenia coach Matjaz Kek once publicly questioned Manchester United's approach because he knew nothing about Sheshko's injury. He not only requested a medical report, but also hoped that his medical team could examine Sheshko's physical condition, and called for "the greatest respect" for his country.

Manchester United, on the other hand, believes they have followed all necessary procedures. The Slovenian Football Association put the controversy to rest by confirming receipt of the scan results and accepting United's decision to keep Sheszko in Manchester for further treatment.

A spokesman for the Slovenian Football Association said: "The medical team of the Slovenian national team has received a complete medical document from Manchester United regarding Sheszko's health condition, including the current clinical situation and the examinations that have been carried out. Unfortunately, this injury does not currently allow him to participate in training. In the next few days, the club will arrange further examinations and start treatment work, so Sheszko will not be able to participate in this national team match. We wish him a speedy recovery and return to the game as soon as possible."
