About Arteta's coaching style
- When I see how Arteta develops his team and his own growth, I find that they play very physically. Arteta's attention to detail in training and the fact that his team has few weaknesses is characteristic of him.
About Arsenal
- We won the first four group games, which is very important. We have accomplished our mission so far and certainly hope that this momentum will continue. But playing this team is going to be our toughest task yet and that excites us - that's what we're here for and we crave that challenge.
About Bayern's performance in set pieces
-The fact is that we did not show our due strength in set pieces. I know this from my playing career - it doesn't mean we performed poorly at this stage, but we need to do better in this area. We have analyzed this and are working hard to improve it.
Even the best teams can have difficulties against Arsenal. But I'm not just thinking about defense: we can score goals too, we have to try and we can do it! We want to be a very strong team at set pieces - not only offensively but also defensively.
Let’s talk about Arteta again
– He plays an important role at Arsenal. I said it before when Burnley played against Arsenal. He is an important member of the coaching team, and Guardiola is the chief architect of the team. Arteta is also one of the few professionals who can give Guardiola feedback. When he left Manchester City, no one was surprised that he had become the manager he has become. Of course we coaches want to win trophies - but we also look at the team's system and how they need to train.
Few teams can defend so well in the penalty area, and from set pieces - almost no team does it better than them. And they've been getting along for a while under Arteta - that much is obvious. I'm looking forward to the challenge and we're at a good stage right now.
About the team's injury situation
- Gnabry looks good, we will see if he can play 90 minutes. We were a little worried before, but he's in good shape and looks promising. Kimmich is in good form too, it's a positive day and it looks like all our players will be available.
About Lennart Carr
- He's still young, which is great, and he should enjoy it. His current form can continue for another 30 games, and we hope to continue to support him. The question is, how should we respond when he can no longer maintain this form. His mental quality is very stable. He not only performs well on the offensive end, but also on the defensive end. Tomorrow is another test and we are excited to see his growth.
About the standards of the game
- As a member of a wealthy team, you will analyze your opponent's strengths, but at the same time you also believe in your own strength. Indeed, there is a lot to consider against Arsenal. But so do they, we all want to perform well. If we can do that, we can put in some great performances. I know what makes Arsenal special - but I don't want to forget our strengths and we have to show that tomorrow.
About Gnabry's outstanding performance against the London team
- Players need confidence - no matter where this confidence comes from, it is useful. If this situation gives Gnabry 10% more confidence, I will be more than happy to accept it.
