The pain ointment for the body and brain

Moving in the world is a necessary experience for the body to be a human being. Activities, especially regular walking, can actually bring benefits to the health of the body and brain. However, in this chapter, I want to go beyond these simple and relatively uncontroversial points and further explore the potential advantages of walking; how it affects mood, mental health, and brain development. The regular walker (I am myself) says that as long as there are days when you don’t have the chance to walk well, you will feel tired and feel depressed. The self-habilitation method to solve this problem is quite simple, just go out and take a good trip. What is exciting is that more and more sciences now support this kind of feeling, and show that walking, especially regular walking, and often walking in nature, will definitely improve our feelings. Thinking back to the long hiking in the heavy rain, you might feel very distressed at that time, but you will definitely feel excited in the end.

Hippocrates once said: "Walking is the best medicine." However, in modern society, most of us sit indoors all day, which can have a terrible impact on our health and overall happiness. We spend less time outside than at any time in the past. "A study conducted in the United States shows that 87% of people spend their time living in artificial environments such as offices, houses, shops or other buildings. Some even say (in my opinion) that "sitting is a new type of smoke." The meaning behind this sentence is very direct; our bodies are used to conduct regular activities, and they also benefit from regular activities. A living style that is sedentary for a long time is basically unhealthy, which not only causes atrophy of muscle mass and strength, but also has a similar impact on the brain.

A few days ago, an interesting study found that lack of activity can even change a person's personality and change it in a bad way. Overall, a low degree of physical activity is related to the changes in three of the "five factors" of individuality (the five factors are openness, self-consciousness, extroversion, harmony and neuroticism, and are reduced to OCEAN). Lower physical activity will lead to a decrease in openness, extroversion and sexual intercourse, showing a "harmful" pattern of long-term individual changes. Even the minimum level of activity can help with ease and negative individual changes. Those who love activities the least are also those whose personality is most likely to change in the negative direction.

Inactivity will limit daily activities, causing general cognitive function changes, and even emotional changes. According to the information we know, as long as the simple behavioral change occurs, the negative personal impact of sitting and not moving life will be reversed.

Standing immediately changes our blood pressure, blood flow throughout the body, and the rate at which energy is consumed and heat energy is generated (i.e., the New Chen Ratio rate). Walking will change the brain and body system, and will change from the generation of new molecules to behavior. Regular walking is a simple and direct way to make the heart beat faster, which will provide great benefits to the head — the heart axis, because about 20% of the heart output will be sent to the brain that is lacking in oxygen and energy. Similar effects also occur in digestive systems that are also lacking in oxygen and energy. The antidote is right in front of us.
